Back In Melbourne

For the past five weeks I have been in Vietnam enjoying the hot weather, beaches, food and shopping so that explains the lack of posts. But I am back and it has been two days of being home in Melbourne where I have gotten back to healthy eating and exercise because slacked in Vietnam and ate and ate, but the food was wonderful. Yesterday I bought a lovely crochet skirt for a really good price and today a pair of taupe coloured platform wedges (shows up grey in pictures for some weird reason). Today's outfit was the croceht skirt I bought yesterday, a simple white singlet and Forever New denim jacket with my white Converse.

as you do,

These past few days I have been so unorganised in school work, I have no idea where my head is these days but it feels good, I feel content and I care less about the things that I shouldn't care about. It really is a strange feeling, one that I can't explain but I think I am okay with it. Anyway I bought a black crop top and textured skirt the other day and I love them both (in first outfit picture). There are two more weeks left of school and then I will be on holidays for five weeks! The necklace is something I bought yesterday at a really good price from Portmans and the black skirt is one of the staples in my wardrobe and was also a bargain as well.

lust holds my hand

It has been hot hot hot lately in Melbourne which is a good thing I guess, surely a nice change from it's temperamental conditions. It's nice and sunny and I have quickly developed a tan! I haven't been shopping much, my last purchase was a simple burnt orange coloured dress by Quirky Circus from Myer which I wore today. My days have been interesting, filled with dramas and homework, speaking of homework I really need to start tonight or right now preferably but lately I have been feeling extremely unmotivated to do work which is not good at all. All I want to do is just lie down under a tree with a book and read or sleep or be at a table where all my favourite foods will be on. Next week will be no doubt a hectic one as three assignments will be due in and I have to work others too! Gahhhh!

november rain,

Stepping into the streets of Melbourne City on a good day, I see the fashionistas milling around Bourke Street malls, carrying navy blue Zara paper bags, Myer, Forever New or General Pants co. Summer is approaching and brings with it it's uncertainty in the form wind, random chills and rain that we all know and love to hate and complain about. But coming to think about it, Melbourne weather allows us to dress for all seasons in one week which gives more variety for our outfits. Which is one of the positive things about it. One day I'd be in a coat and dark jeans to compliment the weather and the next the sun is out and I'm in a skirt or shorts. That being said, the fashionistas of Melbourne have a great way of dressing for the weather, mixing and matching their pieces of clothing and seamlessly combining two styles or trends into one outfit. From each style of clothing that they self-categorise themselves into, I find one thing that I like and make a note to invest in it. For example, that sophisticated corporate looking girl in her black blazer, with the eye-catching addition of a coloured pencil skirt and waist cinching leopard print belt or the effortless girl in the faded denim shorts and white t-shirt, that being said, there is always and outfit or something that I like from another style, I don't have a particular style that I stick to. I really like to mix it up, even combining styles to keep it interesting. Anyway here are some of my shoes from my shoe closet and some pictures of yesterday morbid looking skies.

broke my eyes

I have been shopping like a maniac lately for jewellery and summer clothing in general as the weather had been getting warmer. This summer, for me it will all about ethnic jewellery (inspired by Morocco, Spain, Greece, Indian), long skirts, wedges, crochet, flowing dresses, off the shoulder tops and aztec prints.
