new year's eve

Celebrating New Year's Eve with my beautiful new dress from MNG.

This year has been such a ride that has taken me on such an unexpected journey, there were definitely bad moments but there were also the good ones that I'll always remember. What I remember though is the amount of things this year taught me alone. Hopefully 2012 will be brighter and filled with opportunities, for I can only try to grasp and take advantage of every moment because life passes by so fast.
Happy New Year everyone!
Stay safe!

fool's gold

So today I went with my best friend to the city to shop and bought a few items for really cheap. The white lace crop bustiere top is from Factorie, which I bought on a hot Saturday. Thankfully today was a little bit cooler but with a touch of sun, anyway, the second item is a beautiful skirt from Forever New that I've had my eye on for a while, same as the Don't Ask Amanda 'Flowers' camisole from General Pants Co, then I bought a beatuiful bunch of mixed turquoise bracelets and two beautiful rings. I'm thinking I can pair the white top with my new skirt, what do you think?

mirror error

Today was such a great day, the weather started off cloudy but brightened and warmed up around lunch time. I went to Lygon St with a friend and lunched at Il Gambero, a great Italian restaurant and had the Risotto Funghi which consisted of mushrooms and arborio in a Napoletana sauce! Delicious! And then afterwards we took the privilege of buying icecream (soy for both of us) at Casa Del Gelato, and then walked around and took pictures!

a saintly girl i'm not

The last few days have been pretty good. From the pictures above you can see that I've bought MAC's eyeshadow in the colour Wedge, I'm really happy with it, it's such a nice colour to wear every day, I just use it as a crease colour, now I'm hoping to get Vanilla or Brule as a base colour. But I really like MAC's eyeshadows as they're easy to blend and plus they don't wear off as easily. Yesterday I went lingerie shopping as my underwear collection needed more. There are so many nice clothes on sale right now and it is seriously tempting! I must resist!

lust holds my hand

It has been hot hot hot lately in Melbourne which is a good thing I guess, surely a nice change from it's temperamental conditions. It's nice and sunny and I have quickly developed a tan! I haven't been shopping much, my last purchase was a simple burnt orange coloured dress by Quirky Circus from Myer which I wore today. My days have been interesting, filled with dramas and homework, speaking of homework I really need to start tonight or right now preferably but lately I have been feeling extremely unmotivated to do work which is not good at all. All I want to do is just lie down under a tree with a book and read or sleep or be at a table where all my favourite foods will be on. Next week will be no doubt a hectic one as three assignments will be due in and I have to work others too! Gahhhh!

rest my chemistry

My days haven't been that interesting lately, but normal and normal is good enough for me I guess. I'm planning to get healthier and tone up since I haven't been exercising in ages which is not good at all! So I'll cut down on the junk and start off slow with exercising three times a week and then four times. I don't know, feeling healthy and looking fit makes me feel more in control. I still haven't got paid yet which means a delay in my shopping plans but oh well, I just hope I get paid by this week, likely not though. Today was chilly, rainy and grey in Melbourne which was a vast difference from yesterday's humid 33 degrees, so it was stockings, boots and a blazer for me with touches of blue and turquoise.

Current Obsessions

1. Maxi Skirts and Dresses: I always put off wearing long skirts as I am pretty short and was afraid of looking like a floating dwarf of some sort. But I tried on a dress not long ago and loved it, I have bought a maxi dress, a leopard print skirt and recently on a bargain a nice black maxi skirt.

2. Ethnic Inspired Jewellery: I absolutely love the colours, detail and the whole cultural feel one can get from jewellery. One piece can just transform the whole feel of an outfit.

3. Colour Palette

4. Minimal meets Classic Design: Love the clean lines, neutral colour palette, fresh feeling and occasional with a touch of classic such as gilded mirrors or detailed architraves and mouldings. A perfect combination of masculinity and femininity.

5. Overloading bracelets: So pretty for the summer! Love all the colours and especially the beading or detail or really delicate ones.
6. Colour Bloking: I love this trend, so many colours to choose and play with and can look really amazing and a change from my usual colour boring palette.

7. Feather Earrings: They're beautiful and delicate with a bohemian feel to them that I love so much.

8. Clutches: I love all the different colours and textures of clutches, it's a perfect addition to an outfit!
